Land Acknowledgment

Elara Accounting acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations, as well as the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations of Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney. This land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region Three.

We recognize the long history of land stewardship, knowledge, and resilience carried by the Indigenous Peoples of this land. We acknowledge the harms caused by colonization, residential schools, forced displacement, and ongoing systemic inequities that continue to affect Indigenous communities. We understand that Indigenous Peoples acknowledgment is only one small step toward meaningful reconciliation.

Elara commits to actions that align with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, including supporting Indigenous-owned businesses, improving financial accessibility and education, and approaching our work with humility, respect, and a willingness to learn. We strive to build relationships rooted in accountability, truth, and a shared vision for a more equitable future.

We are grateful to live and work on this land, and we honour the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for it since time immemorial.
